Stress only exist due to your thoughts. This thing that is able to change your body functions actually only exists due to your mind. How small it sounds. Normally you wanting things to be black and white tend to create huge levels of stress when you don’t achieve them. People go about their days dealing with great amounts of anxiety and stress, from work to home they can´t escape. Why do we let stress control us?

Below I will list ways to deal with stress

Point 1: don’t make decisions when your head is hot. Let yourself calm down before you decide something. This also applies to how you answer people. Don’t let anger control your body because it is always led by regret.

Point 2: don’t let food be an escape! This leads to a dependency. Junk food makes you slower, more tired and less confident.

Point 3: when your to-do list is too long, eat the broccoli first, leave the desert for later. Do the hard most boring tasks first because you will appreciate the ones you like even more after.

Point 4: don’t provoke yourself. If someone is making you crazy, then don’t go intensely stalk him or her on all media. Don’t make yourself angrier by finding trigger points.

Point 5: over success or over tragedy can stress us. If you watch all disasters and misfortunes in the media they will crawl into your brain. You won’t be able to focus because all you think about will be the things you can’t control. Lack of control is a big cause of stress. On the other hand, by seeing people in your area having a lot of success, your friends both work or personal life growing you feel it can be an overload of success. Even if you don’t want to be affected, it has a way to stay in the back of your mind and control you with comparisons.

Point 6: a healthy body is a healthy mind, so eat your vegetables and fruit! 5 a day should be your golden rule.

Point 7: you don’t need to be a perfectionist. Forget the urge of wanting everything to be perfect. Accept that life is messy therefore sometimes your outcomes will be chaotic. To create your perfect world leads to enormous levels of stress.

Point 8: learn to say no. Give yourself time to make the decisions you want, don’t do what the demanding person wants – learn to say no. Most stress happens when people think about the ‘what if’s’ or imagine scenarios in which they would have said what they wanted. Don’t wonder about what it would be, just take a deep breath and say no.

Point 9: don’t be scared to ask for help. The truth is that whoever you ask for help actually will like to be useful.

Point 10: take a break! We tend to work until everything is done however hours straight with no breaks aren’t productive. Let your mind wander for 5 minutes or at least go outside to have some fresh air.

Point 11: have limits! Don’t let people overstep their limits without you saying so. Respect yourself, follow your own limits.

Point 12: if you have a lot to do chose one day on your weekend and make it your day. No work, no research, no calls, no help. Focus on you. Do something you have been craving for a while or just put on your pajamas and catch up on your series all day.

Point 13: for at least 5 minutes go to ‘your place’. A place you use to escape the world. You don’t need to be there a lot but the privacy and peace will relax you instantly.

Point 14: Give yourself a spa day
