In your life one of your goals should never be to earn a lot of money. This can be your path to achieve a goal meaning that after you make the money you need you can accomplish what you have dreamed of. To dream with having an overabundance of money simply demonstrates that you are lost because you don´t know what you want leading you to think that paper can make you happier. Basically there are two big problems.
Problem 1: money is the ladder for status.
People dress with the paper they earn, each paper adds 100 meters to the house and a thousand of useless unused things. They are hypnotized into the bubble of the rich. In this bubble your importance is decided by how much you have. This bubble is made of superficial people fighting nature to look younger, inflated ego´s as well as no actual life goals. To be known as rich is enough. They buy and buy but can’t explain why. The truth is you should fight for a goal instead of status. Status is just an inflated insecure satisfaction.
Problem 2: lack of defining oneself leads to confused motivation.
We get caught up in a million of things and forget that there is more to life than money. Most of us tend to describe ourselves with our profession, money is always the reward however we are not our profession. The thing is, we are not students, firemen or business people. What we do does not define us therefore we shouldn´t let money be what drives us. If you focus on yourself, on what you want as a person then money will help you reach that. To be able to really find a goal for the money you earn you must define yourself. Who are you? What are your passions? Do you need money to achieve them?
