In a world of superficial exposure through social media we have become brands instead of humans. If to adapt to this new digital era we have become coded to lie about our lives, then why not also lie about everything else? It is obvious that the more you lie, the more it becomes easier. Imagine this, one day you look at yourself and realize you lie everyday. You attempt to convince yourself that they are just small lies and those don’t really matter. Although eventually realizing that a lie comes more easily to your mind than a truth.

Certain moments are easier to avoid with a lie. The truth is that we can live a paradise because of lies, avoiding tears or confrontations. Although if you want to live an easy life, don’t get shocked when you realize that the people around you also lie to you. This comes to my next point: The image you send is a mirror of the people that surround you. You will never have truthful people next to you if you always lie. It is so easy to walk the dark path because it’s the fastest. I understand. As in the majority of things – it all starts with you.
How many lies do you tell a day?
We normally lie for three main reasons: to avoid hurting someone with the truth, as an excuse to get out of trouble and to make ourselves look better. Although it may seem better to protect someone´s feelings instead of telling the truth, the lie will still haunt you. It is way better to know the truth than to live as nothing has happened. We should be able to have the courage to paint some dark. Sometimes when we do things we shouldn’t we rapidly create an excuse. Although that person will never know, one day you will realize that you can create an excuse way too fast, won’t that scare you? The fact that lying has become as normal as breathing? Finally we lie to look better. Statistics show that when we meet someone for the first time we have a tendency to tell from 3 to 5 lies. This part of lying comes from you. You must have enough confidence to not be embarrassed if you don’t know some things, for example if you have hobbies that aren’t seen for your age. A confident person has no need to hide in glittering lies because believe me that a person who shines attracts more than a person that says what they think you want to hear.

Even though you should achieve to become an honest person you should also be able to discover when you are being lied to. Be able to know how far a person can go with a lie.
How to detect liars easily
What they say:
- Avoid the words ‘I’ and ‘me’ in a subconscious way to distance themselves from the lie
- Use the word ‘honest’ a lot
- They use negation a lot
- Endlessly ramble and go to tremendous detail when no one asked, tending to go out of topic
What they do:
- Touch their mouth a lot
- Avoid eye-contact
- Fidget a lot
- Their speech becomes very fast
- Avoid the subject after
