Chidera Eggerue also known as the Slumflower has been dedicated to changing minds polluted by social ideals. At 23 she was able to publish two books while moving us with the saggy boobs matter movement. Chidera is now an award-winning blogger, a published writer and has a big media following. She is not an activist but a force. Fighting for the rights of those around her.

How did Chidera´s career start?

Her career started digitally. She created a blog called the slumflower aimed for fashion content. It drifted from her original idea when she started writing about body positivity, wellness and empowerment. She had a following of strong women needing to finally hear a voice like theirs. She was able to write a book “What a time to be alive” that celebrates the self instead of focusing on others. In a non-cliché way, she leads us to happiness.

“Every single person on this planet has something to contribute to the larger conversation.” – Chidera Eggerue

This is her advice for all the women out there:

  1. Before you want to be someone else, you must know yourself
  2. Love yourself, love your soul and love all the small pieces that build you
  3. Love your boobs and set them free
  4. What do you want to do? Plan it then do it
  5. Know how to build yourself up after being at your lowest
  6. Fight for what you believe in

“I want to be in radio, creating factual documentaries on television, have a really fun, cool talk show and definitely release more books.”. – Chidera Eggerue

Chidera made herself a star with her strong words and kind heart. She wrote to be heard and listened by those in need. This inspiring soul is thriving with this perseverance. The question now is: What do you want to do?
